Frequently Asked Questions

Below are answers to questions many people
have when considering the Ministry Pass Plugin.

Apple requires that all brands publishing passes do so with their own certificates. At the time of launch, you'll be able to upload a certifcate from your Apple developer account for use with your pass. Normally, an Apple Developer account would cost $99/yr, but Apple is now giving non-profits free accounts. At the time of release we'll provided step-by-step instructions for how to create your certificate and upload it to our service.
Apple Wallet passes will be supported immediately. Unfortunately, Google passes are not supported at this time. While we plan to eventually support native passes for Android, these will not be available in the initial release. In the meantime, there are several native Android apps that fully support all features of the Apple Pass files. We highly recommend the Wallet Pass application for your current Android users.
This feature is not currently available in Ministry Pass. Passes created at launch will be deployed in such a way as to allow dynamic updating as soon as that feature is ready & based on community interest in the plugin.
Ministry Pass is designed to be an ongoing subscription service rather than a per-event service. Because Rock plugins cannot be uninstalled and it is powered by a key provided upon the initial subscription, access relies on the honor system that your subscription remains active over time. And once you've seen what Ministry Pass can do, you'll find that there are many ways to use it for smooth check-in experiences.
