If you’ve ever run a report to find the total giving of a group with specifics about the group’s title and person IDs, you’re probably
familiar with the query functions necessary to add that information to the data set. These functions are easy to use, but they can be very slow.
With the new 12.5 table, you no longer need to add query functions. Instead, you can simply join your query to the Analytics Source Giving Unit Table to get the exact same data set in a fraction of the time.
Plus, the table is already configured to support some of the new features coming out in v.13.
